Carter Crosby
DMV-Based - Actor/Musician - Non-Union
About Me
Now a DMV-based actor, musician, and writer, Carter is originally from Yorktown, Virginia. A Class of ‘22 Duke, he graduated from James Madison University with a B.A. in Musical Theatre and a minor in Creative Writing. Both in and out of college, he has worked as an actor/musician in some of his favorite shows, such as “Once,” “Million Dollar Quartet,” and even “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” where he wrote songs in the style of Joni Mitchell and Jimi Hendrix. He also has especially enjoyed workshopping new plays, like “Walls” and “Study Group.” A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he spends most days playing guitar, drumming, and writing tunes (check out his EP “Providence” on Spotify, Youtube, and Apple Music)– or listening to whatever casette tape or CD he can get his hands on.
Want to check out his work? Come see him as Joe in Toby’s Dinner Theatre’s production of “9 to 5,” running through March 16th!
